Cathy Boyd is a professional artist living in Ontario, Canada. She has been represented by fine art galleries in Aurora, Port Carling, Huntsville and Penetang, all located in central and south Ontario. She is currently represented by Agora Gallery, Chelsea, New York City and was a participating artist in a recent exhibition called 'Beyond Borders' - An Exhibition of Fine Art from Canada. Initially recognized for her sensitive pastel paintings, Cathy recently began painting in oil on large canvases. Her style is painterly, and subjects are often shoreline portraits, rural scenes and florals. At times she paints impressionistically, always striving to leave the viewer with a sense of tranquility and peace and a feeling of 'having been there before'.
New for this year: Following a recent trip to Tuscany, Italy, I am compelled to paint a number of paintings dedicated to the Tuscan Region. I have just posted my first painting called, 'Bella Toscana 1' .
